Patrick Civille is a founding member of Civille & Tang and head of the firm’s litigation practice. Mr. Civille has 48 years of broad-based litigation, mediation and arbitration experience. His practice is focused on commercial disputes, insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation.
Among other matters, he has litigated cases involving disputes in the fields of medical malpractice, personal injury defense, government procurement, lender's liability, violations under the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act, criminal and civil RICO violations, Fair Labor Standards Act violations, Federal False Claims Act violations, employment discrimination under Titles VII & IX, and 1983 Civil Rights claims. His clients include corporations, institutions, government agencies, and individuals.
Mr. Civille has successfully argued appeals before the Supreme Courts of Guam and the CNMI, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belau.
Mr. Civille is an active member of the Guam Bar Association and CNMI Bar Association. He is a former President of the Guam Bar Associations and has served on various Bar and Court committees. Mr. Civille also provides pro bono services to the Guam National Olympic Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Guam.
Mr. Civille has an undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Dayton. He is licensed to practice law before all the courts of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Mariana Islands, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
